Client Details

Michael Page have been exclusively engaged to support a new manufacturing operation based in Oxfordshire with the backing of Blue-Chip OEM organisations. The business have purchased a site and are currently in the early stages of developing production infrastructure for an innovative green product supplying the automotive and construction sectors.

Description

Reporting into the Head of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager will form part of the senior leadership team and will ultimately take responsibility for a right-first-time production operation. You will be integral to the development of a manufacturing strategy and site build before taking on responsibility for planning, assembly and product quality for the Oxfordshire plant.

Typical responsibility will include:

  • Designing and delivering all production metrics
  • Ensuring best in class health and safety systems and cultures
  • Close liaison with engineering and supply chain teams on product and production development
  • Leading a pragmatic and customer focused approach to quality
  • Recruitment and labour planning
  • Driving a continuous improvement culture

Profile

The successful Manufacturing Manager will possess the following:

  • A strong background in engineering
  • Experience in leading high performing manufacturing teams ideally within high-tech, complex operations
  • Demonstrable background in working within highly regulated production
  • Strong exposure to projects with the ability to work with design and development engineers
  • The ambition to grow with a an aspirational technology led manufacturing organisation
