Working closely with the CEO, Head of Projects and across all departments, the Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering the companies projects to production. The Project Manager will take ownership of a project from concept through to delivery, ensuring that the project runs to time and on budget. The Project Manager will be the go-to person for the project, and will ensure communication is maintained throughout departments.

The role:
We need an experienced Project Manager to grow the Project team as we take on more development projects. This is a crucial role in the business, as you will be responsible for the day to day running of the project. The Project Manager needs to own the detail of their project, and be prepared to get involved in all related tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience of small/medium engineering businesses, and an understanding of automotive projects.
The day-to-day responsibilities:
Own whole vehicle projects, making sure that everything happens as and when it supposed to, and to budget.
Initial creation of product definition and project plan, and ensuring ongoing adherence throughout the development process.
Work with the projects team to balance the competing priorities of other projects.
Supporting the Engineering & Manufacturing team to manage and deliver projects.
Manage project risks with effective mitigation strategies
Be the contact point for key suppliers, ensuring the supplier delivers to requirement, including leading regular meetings.
Work closely with the Commercial team to help bring the product to market, supporting marketing requests and events.

Lead the project transition from development into production.
Manage the fleet of project prototype vehicles.
Be the Engineering contact for our OEM partners, presenting monthly project updates and working with the Commercial team to deliver to partner expectations.
Communicate project updates with key internal stakeholders and the wider business.
You will be self-organising and self-motivating. You will be the backstop to make sure everything happens when it needs to. You actively look for problems and potential issues before they happen.
You will be hands on and will actively try and reduce the amount of administration / paperwork in the business.

Project Management experience
Experience in small/medium businesses
Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills
Engineering and technical knowledge
A hands-on approach, if you can solve a problem or find an answer yourself, do it!
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively, function independently and contribute to a team
Strong verbal, written and numerical skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft platforms
Excellent attention to detail
Flexibility to re-plan as priorities change. Lateral thinking.
Possess a All hands on deck mentality a passionate team player
Nice to have:
Experience in niche, low volume or motorsport vehicle manufacturing environment
Experience of vehicle safety and compliance testing and procedures
