The team at McGregor Boyall Procurement are working with a UK wide construction business who require a specialist for ongoing project work.We require a Procurement lead who is at the top of their game and has a passion for delivering on interesting construction programmes. We require an individual who is adept at building strong business relationships and providing best value solutions for sustainable procurement. Whilst acting as a close business partner with senior stakeholders, you will be instrumental in developing greenfield procurement strategies, policies and processes. Our client will want you to fully utilise your supply chain management skills to enhance strong collaboration between the suppliers and cross-departmental business units.

Further responsibilities will include the following areas.Duties Include

  • Assist the team with market analysis / cost estimates / vendor performance management.
  • Have complete responsibility and accountability for the Procurement process of subcontractors.
  • In charge of the provision of management information and reports in accordance with project requirements.
  • Responsible for services and materials in line with corporate project procurement strategy.
  • Help to develop strong professional relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors and service providers.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of the construction industry advantageous but happy to consider close neighbouring industries, Engineering, Nuclear, Life Sciences.
  • Must have supplier experience and strong knowledge of the construction life cycle industry and the various pillars within these project communities.
  • Delivering robust procurement strategies.
  • Acting as the lead Procurement specialsit, you must be able to demonstrate previous experience of close PMO liasion with the variety of internal & external stakeholders.
  • Strong sub-contractor contract liaison & administration and driving best value around the supply chain.
  • Must be an excellent team player with ability to work with all levels of stakeholders.
