We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a TOOLMAKER - NIGHTS

A BUSY, WELL ESTABLISHED manufacturing organisation in the Birmingham area, have an opportunity for a Toolmaker to join the Toolroom.

You might be fresh out of Apprenticeship, or highly experienced in Toolmaking.  There is plenty of scope within this organisation to be able to consider all levels of Toolmaking experience.

This is a highly successful business, that continue to strive and succeed.  No matter what your skill set, you will be allocated a set annual amount in order to enjoy further training and development.

This is a permanent NIGHT shift – Monday to Friday with an early finish on Friday.

Commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Moseley, Redditch, Streetly, Shirley, Halesowen and Minworth

TOOLMAKER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Repair and maintenance of tooling and jigs & fixtures
• Manual handling and 5S activity
• Planned maintenance
• Repairing breakdowns
• Manufacture jigs and fixtures
• Use of measuring equipment
• Dependant on experience, supervise on breakdowns and train others
• Lifting and moving press tools for repair
• Fault-finding if experienced
• MIG and TIG welding – if experienced
• Happy to work NIGHTS – Mon – Fri

TOOLMAKER REQUIREMENTS

• Ideally, Apprentice trained
• Experience with Toolmaking
• You may be a Junior level, with some knowledge, looking to expand and train, or an experienced Toolmaker, where there are further prospects available
• To be able work from engineering drawings
• FLT licence or the ability to complete FLT training
• MIG TIG welding if experience, or with the willingness to train
• Happy to  work NIGHTS – Mon to Friday (early Friday finish)
