Project and Estimating Manager - Commercial & Education Fit-Outs
Location: Plymouth (South of England Projects)
Salary: Up to 60,000 + 6,000 Car Allowance + Bonus Scheme
Type: Permanent (Open to Contract until September 2025)
Carbon60 are working with a long-established, fast-growing interiors specialist to recruit a Senior Estimator / Project Manager for a key leadership role based in Plymouth. This business is a leading player in the commercial and education fit-out sector, known for delivering innovative, high-quality projects across the South of England.
We are ideally seeking someone looking for a permanent opportunity, but we are open to contractors who can commit until September 2025.
The Role
We are looking for estimator who has experience as in project management. You will across multiple fast-paced refurbishment and interior fit-out projects across the South of England. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and project success, leading a small team of estimators and PMs while acting as the main client point of contact post-sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including labour, materials, and subcontractor pricing
- Analyse drawings and project documentation, liaise with clients and design teams
- Lead projects from estimating through to delivery, ensuring timelines, budget and quality expectations are met
- Manage project schedules, progress, budgets, change orders and closeout documentation
- Oversee and mentor a team of 3 estimators/project managers
- Conduct site visits and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
What We're Looking For
- Proven background in estimating and delivering interior fit-out/refurbishment projects (commercial or education)
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project delivery best practices
- Previous leadership or team management experience is highly desirable
- SMSTS
- Proficiency in estimating and project management software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, MS Project)
- Full UK Driving Licence
The Package
- Basic salary up to 60,000
- 6,000 Car Allowance
