Our client is a company that specializes in custom solar panel installations, in the Southwest. They offer a full range of energy services to help households, businesses, schools, and community buildings generate their own electricity. Their approach to customer service and their property is important to them and they take the time to listen to their customers, make recommendations and offer advice to find the right energy solution for their needs. If a property is not suitable for PV solar panels or if there are other, more effective ways to reduce carbon emissions and save money, they will let their customers know. They value their relationships with their customers and rely on their referrals to bring in new business.
Role Overview
Our client are seeking a qualified electrician with experience in both residential and commercial settings to join their growing team. This position will require the ability to travel and occasionally stay overnight for out-of-town jobs (accommodation and meals will be provided). During the probation period, you will work closely with the Installation Manager to learn company procedures and the commissioning process. While previous solar PV installation experience is a plus, it is not required as on-the-job training will be provided. They are looking for someone who is passionate about renewable energy and has a positive, can-do attitude. Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Â
The ability to think on your feet and problem solve is also important. A hands-on approach and willingness to assist in various aspects of the installation process is necessary.
Essential Qualifications
- City and Guilds 18th Edition QualificationÂ
- City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Qualification (2391)
- NVQ level 3 & AM2
- Full driving licence

- Solar PV Qualification within the last 5 years (Desirable)
