About the Role:As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives. You'll act as a mentor to other staff, lead by example, and ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with their individual needs, including personal care, daily activities, and social engagement.
- Leading shifts, ensuring care plans and risk assessments are followed.
- Providing guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Promoting independence and choice while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Participating in weekend shifts on a rotational basis (1 in every 3 weekends).
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
- Flexibility to work weekends as part of the rota.
