Candidates must be qualified to Motor Vehicle Level 2 and possess a full UK HGV driving licence, along with 35 hours of Drivers CPC Training.
The Vehicle Fitter will also maintain accurate records of repairs and ensure the workshop area complies with Health and Safety legislation.

Acorn by Synergie are looking for a Vehicle Fitter to provide a vehicle maintenance and repair service for a fleet of approximately 45 - 50 vehicles.

Job Duties:

To service specialist large goods fleet in line with the Vehicle Operating Standards Agency (VOSA) legislation
To attend to vehicle breakdowns, to diagnose fault and to repair as necessary
To prepare all vehicles ready to undergo MOT (Ministry of Transport) inspection, this can include fitting new parts, welding, steam cleaning, fault repair, minor bodywork repair
To record repairs and maintenance to all vehicles on an official form (provided by outside body) and to maintain accurate records to each vehicle for the life of that vehicle
To keep clean, at all times, the vehicle workshop area complying with Health and Safety legislation

Person Specification:

Qualified to Motor Vehicle Level 2, ie City & Guilds
Must have a full UK HGV driving licence
Completion of 35 hours Drivers CPC Training
At least 7 years in a HGV mechanical repair & maintenance role
An understanding of HGV vehicles servicing/MOT preparation
