Are you an experienced finance professional with a knack for teamwork and adaptability? We’re hiring on behalf of our client in Biggleswade for a Finance & Accouts Assistant role. This is a diverse, hands-on position within a close-knit finance team, where you’ll cover essential finance functions during an extended leave period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input approved supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer and track company credit cards, verifying receipts and posting costs in Sage.
  • Process employee credit card expenses, ensuring correct posting to Sage.
  • Check receipts and record petty cash expenditures for all offices.
  • Assist with data input across finance functions as required.
  • Review job costing hours against payroll hours to support payroll accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • At least 2 years in an accounts receivable role is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of Sage 200, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with CIS reverse VAT.
  • Ready to jump in and assist in various areas as part of a collaborative finance team.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
