What’s the role?

As a food technologist you will provide administrative and technical support to customers and the business about the ingredients that are in products.

You should have excellent skills with various computer programs, particularly Excel. Anyone who has worked with specification systems, databases or portals would be ideal.

You’ll need to work with great accuracy- recording ingredients, sources, manufacturers and other information so it is available upon request. Being able to locate and collate electronic data is key.

As the role is within the food sector knowledge of food safety, food standards and risk assessment systems would be highly desirable, as would a general interest in cooking from ingredients and food.

As a person you will be able to work independently but also interact with customers and colleagues in a helpful way.
