They are now looking for an experienced Head of Company Commercial to join their team in their Biggleswade, Saffron Walden or Royston offices. The Role: The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing and leading a broad range of corporate and commercial clients, personally running your own caseload capably and competently. Involvement with forecasting, fees, development & mentoring of employees, recruitment of new team members and general administration of running the function. About You: The ideal candidate will have significant experience (10 years plus PQE) in general company commercial matters and be ready to take the lead in growing a high-performing department. You’ll be dynamic, commercially-minded, and ready to make your mark within a supportive and forward-thinking firm. Key Responsibilities:Client matters: Working on corporate commercial client matters, such as business sales and purchases, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and shareholder/partnership agreements  Business development: Assisting with marketing and business development  Knowledge base: Contributing to the development of the firm's internal knowledge base  Performance management: Agreeing clear objectives linked to the firm's business plan, and assessing performance and giving feedback  Compliance: Complying with all the firm's policies and procedures including the following of financial guidelines with regard to Solicitors Accounts Rules and cash flow control on case files Client and partner relationships: Developing, fostering, and nurturing strong client and partner relationships Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience (10 years plus PQE) in company commercial experience
  • Preferably a client following
  • A blend of commercial awareness, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic mindset
  • A deep understanding of business operations, finances and marketing tactics and market conditions
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to work collaboratively with key partners and clients, both within the business and externally
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies that align with the corporate aims of the business
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting/billing processes
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, organisational and leadership ability to guide the business to achieve business goals
