Role Overview:

As a Manual / CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in operating both conventional and CNC machines to manufacture equipment and products to precise specifications. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills while staying current with industry advancements.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and write instructions for assembling equipment and products accurately.
  • Gather and process information from relevant sources to ensure job accuracy.
  • Operate and control machines and processes with precision.
  • Inspect equipment, materials, structures, and products for quality and safety.
  • Analyse data and provide the best solutions for issues that arise during machining.
  • Maintain clear and honest communication within the team.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment.
  • Continuously learn and apply the latest machining knowledge.

Required Skills:
  • Certificate in machine shop technology or machinist training.
  • 3-4 years' experience in a machine shop environment (preferred).
  • Recognised apprenticeship or City & Guilds training (preferred).
  • Strong skills in mathematics, including trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings, symbols, and tolerances.
Desired Skills:
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Experience:
  • 3-4 years' experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Experience with both conventional and CNC machining.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Pay negotiable based on experience.
Shift Pattern:
  • Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
  • 40-hour week with opportunities for overtime.
