Orion is working with a leading manufacturer of innovative, high-performance machinery. With nearly 40 years of experience, they supply systems to over 70 countries. They are currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small but busy team, contributing to the production of high-quality, precision-engineered components.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Programmer:

• Set up and operate various machining centres.
• Write, edit, and adjust programs at the machine from drawings using Siemens 828d and ProtoTRAK controls.
• Produce intricate components for quality-critical markets.
• Conduct in-process inspections using various hand-measuring instruments.

Skills and Experience of the CNC Programmer:

• Open to supporting an apprentice.
• Experience as a CNC Miller, Machinist, or Programmer in a high-precision role.
• Ability to understand and edit programs (ISO or conversational).
• Willingness to undergo internal training to adapt to internal processes and machining strategies.
• Experience creating part programs from solid models and drawings.

Qualifications:

• Apprentice trained.
• GCSE (or equivalent) passes in Maths and English Language.
