We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to work for our client based in Biggleswade who are a leading provider of precision sheet metal fabrication services. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of brake presses and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Typical hours: Mon Thurs (7:00 16:30) & Fri (7:00 13:00).
Main Duties:
- Set up and operate brake presses to form sheet metal into specified shapes and sizes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Ensure quality control standards are met.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures.
The Successful Candidate:
- Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
