We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety & Environmental Manager based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale.
Responsibilities of theSafety & Environmental Manager
- Promote effective and safe practices and controls throughout the engineering workshop and yard operations.Â
- Assist in developing Safe Systems of Work in all areas.
- Support in carrying out accident investigations.Â
- Ensure equipment is compliant and fit for purpose.
- Provide guidance on hazard identification and ensure risk assessments are completed.
- Assist in the control of contractors - assessing RAMS and issuing PTW.
- Carry out company inductions and safety training as required.
Requirements for a successful Safety & Environmental Manager
- Formal safety qualification - NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Well organised with attention to detail.Â
- Strong IT skills.
- Confident working in an engineering workshop environment.Â
