Based at our clients Biggleswade, Bedfordhsire site we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to build a wide variety of Special Purpose Production Machinery.

Ideally candidates will have worked building special purpose production machinery for various sectors including food processing and pharma industries.

Mechanical Fitter Requirements:

Experience with mechanical production build of complex equipment
Experience of working from complex engineering drawings and pneumatic diagrams
A solid background in both mechanical fitting
Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions, drawings and BOM's
Familiarity of fitting motors, different gears, bearings, copper pipe work, drive shafts
Take pride in producing high quality work. Good attention to detail
Team player with excellent communication skills including written skills

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities:

Fitting/manufacture of mechanical production build of large complex equipment
Fit and assembly of mechanical components making use of appropriate machinery/hand tools
Ensure that all H&SE policies and the company ISO guidelines are adhered to during manufacture
