Quality Control Inspector (fashion products)
Hours: Mon-Fri 07:30 to 16:15, 8-hour workday with 45 min. unpaid breaks

Are you looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience in quality control of fashion products or a background in apparel or footwear manufacturing? Our client is looking for a proactive and meticulous QC Inspector to join the Quality team at their modern purpose-built Distribution centre.
About the role:
This is a full-time role, which is vital in safeguarding the reputation of our brands by verifying that all products are compliant when they leave our doors. As a QC Inspector, your responsibilities will include:
- Inspect representative samples of product (apparel, footwear, accessories) upon their arrival in DC. Checking the appearance, workmanship, measurements and labelling to ensure that construction, colour, trims, branding and packaging matches the specifications and do not fall behind the Company's standards.
- Photograph discrepancies and flaws. Record your findings into a worksheet (Excel), ensuring accurate and correct data entries. Issue AQL reports to suppliers.
- Report findings and flag up QC issues to the QA manager or senior team member.
- Collaborate with other house teams – Goods In, Stock Control and Production.
About you:
- You must have experience with assessment of fashion products – apparel and/or footwear. Your skills could come from manufacturing, tailoring alterations, returns or retail where the role included processing and assessment of defective stock.
- Your level in MS Office, and particularly Excel must be intermediate or higher.
- The QC department is integrated into fast-paced warehouse operations, you must be able to work at a consistent pace with high efficiency.
- Native speaker of proficient in English, good communicator with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Logical thinking and attention to detail.
- Physically fit (lifting cartons is a regular task).
