Fabricator & Warehouse Operative
Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
Salary: £13.74 per hour
Job Type: Temp Ongoing (Potential Perm Opportunities), Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable Biggleswade-based Manufacturing client, seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator & Warehouse Operative to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication & Assembly: Assemble bespoke panels, which includes drilling, some wiring, and part assembly. Training will be provided, but experience with light fabrication is highly desirable.
- Warehouse Operations: Assist with daily warehouse duties, such as loading/unloading deliveries, stock management, and ensuring a clean, organized workspace.
- Use of Tools: Safely operate basic tools such as drills, ensuring precise and quality fabrication.
- Heavy Goods Handling: Handle and move heavy goods safely as required.
- Machine Operation: Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts (training can be provided).
- Health & Safety: Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a warehouse and light fabrication environment.
- Confident using basic tools, such as drills, and willing to learn to assemble technical products.
- Physically capable of handling heavy goods.
- Forklift truck trained (desirable, but not essential – training provided).
- Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently, managing time effectively and using initiative to solve problems.
- Interested in finding a career where you can grow alongside the company.
- Passion for science and engineering, with some background or experience.
- Interested in working with technical products and applications and willing to learn and grow within the engineering and fabrication field.
