We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our client, a leading building services company providing M&E installations & maintenance to the FM market. In this role, you will oversee service and installation projects across commercial buildings, ensuring all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will need a strong technical background in electrical systems, combined with proven project management experience within the FM or building services industry.

Electrical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical service and installation projects from planning through to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., BS7671, NICEIC).
  • Review and interpret technical specifications, designs, and client requirements.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage and coordinate electricians, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to the project team.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction and manage expectations.
  • Prepare and deliver progress reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Approve supplier and subcontractor invoices, monitoring expenditure.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure all works adhere to health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Prepare risk assessments and method statements for all projects.
  • Promote a culture of safety across all project teams and sites.

Electrical Project Manager

About You:

  • Proven experience in electrical project management within FM or building services; further experience in mechanical works would be advantageous.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of electrical installations and maintenance in commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of regulations, including BS7671 and NICEIC guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.
