Our client, a leading construction and property consultancy are currently recruiting for a Commercial Building Surveyor to join them based from their Billericay, Essex office. Due to their on-going success, our client is looking to expand their knowledgeable team. They provide a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, defence, residential and community. This role is available due to their ongoing success, strong project pipeline and growth aims. The role comes with an excellent benefits package, hybrid working and a salary of up to 70k.
Their services include architecture, building surveying, building services engineering, planning, interior design, sustainability, civil and structural engineering, quantity surveying, project management, CDM and health and safety services.

- Salary: 45k - 70k (Guide only - DOE)

Commercial Building Surveyor Position Requirements
- Degree/Masters in Building Surveying
- MRICS qualified
- Varied project experience including commercial projects
- Project Management experience
Commercial Building Surveyor Position Overview
- Act as building surveyor on a variety of project and professional services projects from inception to completion, liaising with team members and others as necessary. To deliver services in a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, public sector etc.
- Lead own commissions and oversee others for commercial sector schedules of dilapidations, PPMs, condition surveys, pre-acquisition building surveys, defect analysis reports.
- Lead own commissions and oversee party wall matters and general neighbourly matters commissions in preparing notices, approach letters, negotiations terms of awards and taking schedules of condition.
- Prepare specifications and documents to enable projects to be tendered and to gain accurate costs from contractors. Assess tenders and make recommendations to clients.
- Act as contract administrator on a variety of projects on offices, warehouses, public sector buildings etc.
- Work closely with our Building Surveying Director in managing, supporting and delivering great work within the team.
