Bennett and Game are representing a multi-disciplinary Top 50 Consultancy who are looking for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Billericay, Essex. With nearly 100 years of experience and multiple offices across the UK, our client has gained an excellent reputation within the industry. The Graduate will be exposed to a range of projects, so this is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to quickly develop within a consultancy environment. They are offering a starting salary of up to £32,000 with Full APC Support in addition to a range of benefits including hybrid working, bonus schemes, generous annual leave, private healthcare, paid training / progression plans and professional fees.

Graduate Building Surveyor Position Overview

  • Prepare specifications and documents to enable projects to be tendered and to gain accurate costs from contractors.
  • Assist in preparation of any necessary building regulation or planning applications and monitor and deal with as necessary through discussions with the necessary authorities.
  • Learn and utilise AutoCAD and Revit design computer-based packages.
  • Learn and use NBS (National Building Specification) computer-based package, resulting in the ability to prepare specifications and documents to enable projects to be tendered and to gain accurate costs from contractors.
  • Learn from Building Surveyors how to understand and clearly define clients' expectations to provide advice, keep them informed of progress on projects and make them aware of technical and financial implications.
  • Administer the construction contract, ensuring that acceptable quality standards of workmanship and performance are achieved.
  • Further duties to be discussed at interview stage.

Graduate Building Surveyor Position Requirements

  • RICS Accredited Degree in Building Surveying
  • Full Drivers License
  • Enrolled on APC, or keen to start
  • Client facing personality with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly motivated with an excellent work ethic
  • Computer literate

Graduate Building Surveyor Position Benefits
