Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI freelancer to create custom dashboards and reports that integrate with various APIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data visualization, Power BI development, and API connectivity. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data-driven dashboards to support business decisions in real-time.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards based on business requirements.
- Integrate data from various APIs into Power BI to ensure accurate, real-time data reporting.
- Work with multiple data sources, including cloud services, databases, and external APIs.
- Implement advanced data transformations using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Build and maintain API connections to automate data import and refresh processes.
- Create custom visualizations and tailor dashboards to end-user needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across all dashboards.
- Optimize Power BI performance for real-time and large-scale data processing.
- Document processes, procedures, and maintenance guides for the dashboards and API connections.
- Provide troubleshooting and post-implementation support.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with Power BI dashboard development and data visualization.
- Expertise in connecting Power BI to APIs for automated data retrieval.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
- Ability to design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that meet business requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially in API integration.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automating Power BI processes using Power Automate or Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for advanced data manipulation and API handling.
- Previous experience working with REST or SOAP APIs, including handling authentication and error management.
- Understanding of real-time data reporting and optimization techniques.
- Power BI certification or relevant training is a plus.
