About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

Exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing brickwork sub-contractor based in Essex with projects ranging between 2 million and 10 million in valuation. Multiple sites across London working with Tier 1 Main contractors. Smaller business so the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have a lot more responsibility and far greater opportunity to progress early on in their career. Office is based in Billericay and 1-2 days per week will be spent on site in London.

Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

Working from the PCSA/2 Stage tender process, to delivering the site and working through to completion and final accounts.
Assisting both the Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors on site.
Involvement in estimating, material buying, QA and payroll.
Managing packages, collating CVRS and managing the commercial process.

Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

2 years' experience, degree qualified or currently working towards qualification.
Experience with measuring- training available if not but prior experience would be ideal.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Personable and friendly character to fit in with company culture.
