The Role:
Due to growing business in our our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), a role has opened for aControl and Instrumentation Department Headto work on high profile projects.
TheControl and Instrumentation Department Headwill be managing and leading the I&C Team, supervising and allocating work to the project engineers and designers as well as co-ordinating with other departments, dealing directly with clients and package vendors within multiple industries.
You will:-
- Prepare scopes of work and estimates to support proposals.
- Deliver the engineering design scope to budgets and programmes.
- Prepare, check and/or approve design calculations, specifications, data sheets, reports, scope of work and drawings to British/International Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and client standards.
- A minimum of 10 years of instrument & control experience, preferably in oil & gas, chemicals and/or other high hazard process industries
- Experience of dealing directly with both Clients and Vendors at all levels
- A demonstrable track record of functional safety, ATEX and equipment for electrically hazardous areas
- The ability to allocate work appropriately to design staff and monitor progress to meet project needs
