Job Overview

We are delighted to represent our client in offering an opportunity to join their team as a Remortgage Paralegal in their forward-thinking Conveyancing firm. The successful applicant will be joining a busy Remortgage team within a fast-paced and progressive environment. This role involves advising on all aspects of the conveyancing process, from instruction through to completion, including dealing with Freehold, Leasehold, and unregistered Remortgages. You'll be part of a small, friendly team and will be supported with ongoing training and development to help you reach your full potential.

Your Mission

You will start by assisting a Paralegal, following a training plan designed to develop your skills and knowledge. As you progress, you'll manage your own caseload, conducting file reviews and dealing with all stages of Remortgage files, including title approvals, search results, and mortgage offers. You'll be responsible for signing off Remortgage files and completions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and SLA requirements. Exceptional customer service is key, as is assisting the Team Leader in managing overall team capacity and reporting requirements.


Key Competencies

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Junior Case Handler, Paralegal, or legal support role.
  • Thorough understanding of the CLC Code of Conduct and other regulatory bodies' rules, such as SRA and Land Registry.
  • Ability to handle your own caseload with proficiency in using a case management system.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills.


Offer Details

  • Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Location: Based in Teesside.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
