Be able to proactively help shape the safety culture, empower others, work on exciting projects within a driven and passionate safety team? If so, this is the job for you!Seeking a motivated HSE professional who is passionate, caring and engaging in their approach. Able to influence the workforce and support them with problem solving, advising across a wide remit of projects, nourishing effective, positive culture and behaviours across the site. You will be well supported from the site and wider HSE team across the other sites in the group. Main responsibilities
  • Be a proactive influencer to support the site with maintaining compliance, the upkeep of internal systems and documentation.
  • Supporting the HSE zero-loss journey map / masterplan activities along with supporting the ongoing development of a positive safety culture, behaviours and department lead activities.
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety performance indicators are tracked with expectations understood and annual plans developed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Determining and prioritising of site loss opportunities manage HSE budget and annual capital allocation
  • Supporting the site vision and goals and ‘Zero Loss Mentality’ through the engagement and capability building of our colleagues.
  • Offer coaching and mentoring to the workforce on site
  • Support the HSE manager with some exciting projects and also spearheading campaigns across this site
  • Help to support stakeholders, influence and engage middle management to ensure HSE continues to be a number one priority
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Manufacturing experience but ideally from the Food/ Beverage/ Paper or Packaging sector. Will also look to other aligned fast paced manufacturing background
  • Experience of working within safety teams to drive improvements in culture and performance
