Process Engineer - Enhancing Performance in Energy Recovery (EfW).Are you a Process Engineer with a passion for optimisation and sustainability?Then we want to talk to you!

In return, we offer a salary of £41,870 - £49,114 plus Private Health care, up to 10% Bonus (~ £4,911), Company Pension, 25 Holiday Days + Bank Holiday, and benefits catalogue.Total Package at the time of joining up to £54,025.We'll help you progress and develop yourself further and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.

What will I be doing?

As a Process Engineer, you’ll optimise plant operations, improve processes, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Your expertise will help reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and maximise profitability.

  • Conduct process analysis to improve EfW plant efficiency.
  • Develop strategies to optimise productivity, product quality, and sustainability.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and analyse data for improvement.
  • Review and update risk assessments and method statements.
  • Prepare process documentation and operating instructions.
  • Oversee and assess workflows, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Report findings and recommendations to senior management.

What are the requirements?

We’re looking for an experienced Process Engineer with a strong technical background and a focus on data-driven process improvements. Experience in the Energy from Waste (EfW) sector is beneficial but not essential.

  • Degree level in Engineering is desired (HNC / HND with relevant experience as minimum qualification).
  • Proven experience in process engineering, process optimisation, and data interpretation.
  • Proficient in SCADA, DCS, PLCs.
  • Knowledge of P&IDs, process engineering software (e.g., CAD/AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance.
  • Fault finding and problem-solving plant issues utilising engineering data and supporting information.
  • Managing process engineering projects and management of contractors.
  • Understanding of Energy from Waste processes and associated emissions is desired.
