My client, an established and prestigious Teesside-based engineering company, is seeking a talented and driven individual to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify Opportunities: Uncover and assess new markets and opportunities for business growth.
  • Strategic Implementation: Contribute to and execute business development strategies aligned with key business goals.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture new business relationships with potential clients, while maintaining strong connections with current customers and project partners.
  • Risk Assessment: Ensure all potential business opportunities are thoroughly evaluated for risks.
  • Representation: Represent the business confidently in all interactions, events, and functions.
  • Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients on behalf of the company.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly Business Development progress reports for the Directors.
  • Client Interaction: Visit project sites to meet clients, report on performances, and handle prequalification and post-tender interviews if needed.
  • Marketing: Ensure all marketing materials reflect business goals and values, and share marketing intelligence.
  • Tender Involvement: Participate in the tender process from receipt of ITT to proposal delivery and client presentation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in the Electrical Construction industry, with a background in working for an Electrical Contractor being highly beneficial.
  • Proven Business Development Management experience with a strong commercial and technical background.
  • In-depth knowledge of the UK Construction industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment.
  • High level of computer literacy.
