Teacher of Science

A Teacher of Science is required  for an SEMH school in Billingham area. This full time role is to start as soon as possible and will be ongoing, potentially long term.  The successful Teacher of Science candidate would ideally have experience of working in Alternative Education with pupils who have SEMH and behavioural needs.

This lovely school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

The ideal Science Teacher candidate would:

• Have a passion for teaching of children with a variety of SEMH and behavioural needs
• Have experience of teaching general Science to secondary age pupils
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Be able to organise themselves
• Be able to engage with children in a proactive way
• Have experience of working in an Alternative Education setting

In addition, you must:

• Provide two referees we can contact

• Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one

Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on where you are on the National Teacher Payscales and the level of experience that you have to date.
