Purchasing Operations Buyer (Temporary)WynyardSalary CompetitiveJackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to be exclusively partnering with Venator, based in Wynyard, on the appointment of a Purchasing Operations Buyer to join their team on a full time and temporary basis, initially until 31st December 2025. Venator are a leading global chemical company, with headquarters in Wynyard, Billingham, dedicated to the development and manufacture of titanium dioxide pigments and performance additives.This is a transactional purchasing role supporting multiple sites and managing spend up to the value of $10,000. Spend can vary across services, goods, packaging and logistics. Benefits include: hybrid working of 2 days per week working from home and flexible working hours. The Role:

  • Create and manage purchase orders, covering the procure-to-pay process from validated demand, typically an approved Purchase Requisition, through to invoice approval
  • Validating the vendor/new vendor creation
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Obtaining order confirmations from vendors
  • Resolving any purchasing invoice queries including vendor master data and price mismatches
  • Running SAP Requests for Quotation
  • Selecting vendors
  • Negotiating price and payment terms
  • Execute site specific purchasing projects as required

The Person / Specification:

  • Experience in a purchasing/procurement related role would be advantageous but not essential
  • SAP systems experience is essential for this role
  • Good communication skills
  • Capable of resolving problems
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to start work with immediate effect

This is an urgent requirement with interviews to take place in April and an April/May start date available.
