This is a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to oversee the financial management and planning of the UK business. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in strategic finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to contribute to business growth while maintaining financial stability. A strong technical accounting background and experience within an SME or private equity environment, would be highly advantageous.
Location: Billingshurst, West Sussex Salary: Up to £80,000 (dependent on experience)Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
- Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Operational Finance Oversight:
- Lead and manage the finance team to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and systems.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and treasury functions.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Present financial updates to the board and key stakeholders.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
- Business Partnering:
- Provide financial guidance and support to department heads.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and funding strategies.
What We're Looking For:
- A professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is essential.
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role within the UK.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with knowledge of UK financial regulations, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Preferable background in facilities management or similar industries, ideally within an SME or private equity environment.
- Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced financial software tools.
