Our client is a world-leading manufacturer of effervescent chlorine (NaDCC) tablets. These tablets are used in a variety of sectors including baby bottle sterilisation, water purification, surface disinfection, food preparation, and agriculture. Alongside our own brands and distributors, we contract manufacture chlorine tablets for some of the best-known brands in the world.

Main Purpose of Job:To undertake manufacturing activities as designated by line management, including coordinating all associated operations and personnel as instructed.

Key Tasks:

  • Operate machinery in a safe manner, ensuring your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Comply with health and safety, fire, and quality procedures.
  • Ensure all physical areas of responsibility and machines are safe for personnel, maintaining standards of safety, quality, housekeeping, and hygiene.
  • Check that all products are produced within defined limits of quality, quantity, and efficiency through personal inspection and production data.
  • Ensure all line documentation and sampling systems are completed correctly.
  • Observe good manufacturing practices at all times.
  • Complete product changeovers and line component clean-down operations in a timely manner.
  • Report any issues concerning the performance, maintenance, accuracy, or speed of filling of a machine to line management or the Engineering department.
  • Ensure production lines start and finish at the correct times.
  • Ensure the operated production line runs at the speed defined by the daily production plan, reporting and recording any problems immediately.
  • Monitor and reduce wastage, rejects, stock discrepancies, and be responsible for reconciliation yields.
  • Advise line management of any concerns relating to the performance and behaviour of any agency personnel working on the line, e.g., poor timekeeping or work performance.
  • Participate in refresher training activities as required.
  • Liaise effectively with all other team members within the company.
  • Carry out any ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by line management, Engineering Manager, Production Co-ordinator, Production Manager, or Operations Manager.

Shift Rotation Pattern:

Monday to Thursday: Early Shift 6:45am-2:45pm, Late Shift 2:30pm-10:30pm

Friday:Early Shift 6:45am-1:45pm, Late Shift 1:30pm-8:30pm
