Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Billingshurst
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Contract Type: Long-term, Day-to-Day Supply, Term-Time Only



About the Role:

Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic and committed Primary Teaching Assistants to support schools across Billingshurst. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment, helping children develop academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering interactive and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students requiring additional help.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and student behaviour support.
  • Help prepare and organise teaching materials and learning resources.
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) as required.
  • Participate in school events, activities, and meetings with parents when needed.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • A patient, nurturing, and supportive approach to working with students.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are beneficial but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
