Job Description:
They are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Post-16 Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to students with a range of learning difficulties, helping them to develop essential skills and prepare for their future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students in the post-16 age group.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, setting realistic and achievable goals.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and external professionals to support student learning.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Prepare students for life beyond school, including further education, training, or employment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching post-16 students with SEN.
- Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning.
