Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Operative to oversee operations within their workshop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the heavy plant industry.

Duties

  • Maintaining records of parts and associated equipment used by the business Interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Responsible for sourcing and ordering parts and associated equipment as required by the business
  • Undertaking LOLER inspections of chains and lifting equipment
  • Ensure that the workshop is maintained in a tidy condition and that all walkways are free from clutter
  • Ensuring that there are suitable spares in place to enable machines to be fully operational
  • Ordering of parts as and when needed
  • Implementing a bar-coded system withing the warehouse
  • Manage inventory of tools and materials, ensuring that the workshop is well-stocked and organised.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, conducting regular inspections of tools and machinery.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a workshop or mechanical environment is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members alike.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical schematics is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as warehouse management software.
  • The ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
  • The ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented.

Schedule:
