Role: Production Operative - Raw Meat Products

Location: Leighton Buzzard, LU7

Shift: 08.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday. You may be asked to work the occasional Saturday 09.00 -4.00pm.

Temporary: immediate start

Pay: starting from 11.50 per hour rising to 12.15 per hour (when milestones are met)

The role

As a Production Operative, you'll work in our client's factory, cutting and preparing halal lamb and beef to be vacuum packed for shops. You will need to learn different machines within the factory. This is a chilled factory because the nature of the products so the temperature is always 8 degrees so you must be able to work in a chilled environment.

You'll need to:

* Be prepared to work and handle raw meat
* Be capable of manual handling tasks (including regularly lifting raw materials
* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail to follow procedures safely and efficiently
* Be able to work to deadlines
* Maintain hygiene standards - we are a food factory. Full training will be given to work to expected
standards

The role will also involve:

* Operating certain machines (such as bin lifts and mixers); prior experience is desirable, but training will be
provided
* Carrying out pre-start checks on your area of responsibility to verify our safe ways of working are being
adhered to
