Barker Ross are currently recruiting for a Compliance Coordinator (Temp to Perm)

Purpose of the department: Contribute to improving Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) performance. Support operations by applying in-depth knowledge to offer solutions and advice through delivery and implementation the clients internal standards and working with cross functional teams to drive performance.

Purpose of the position: Responsible for the implementation, compliance and monitoring of legal requirements, quality systems and HSSEQ programs.

Responsibilities:
* Is operational responsible for delivery of the QHSSE performance and programs
* Actively support and advice the organization on all related QHSSE topics to create and ensure a healthy and safe work environment and operations.
* Ensure alignment of the global RMP (Risk Management Program) and PSM (Process Safety Management) with the local legalization and requirements and implement and assure compliance of these programs in the local organization.
* Responsible for the development, improvement and update of the BRC (quality) management system and support operations on implementing and executing the local BRC management system.
* Review and audit (internal) the implementation and effectiveness of the local BRC management system and support during external qualification audits and track, follow up, support and report to management on the closure of identified non-conformities from audits.
* Drives behavioral and cultural change through implementing performance improvement programs and practices to ensure/create an exemplary safety and compliance culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the organization.
* Report and investigate QHSSE incidents to identify causes and root causes. Feeds back and communicate lessons learned and best practice to the own unit and regional QHSSE manager.
* support with the (Safety Inspection System) site audit, ensure the closure of the identified gaps and drive initiatives to increase the SIS performance score to the set targeted level.


Important Requirements for the Position:
* Secondary vocational work and thinking level and relevant HSE related education (high school / certificate) applicable to the country.
* Based on experience may be a subject matter expert (SME) in a particular area.
* Has to be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization from hourly team members to senior management.
* Must be able to express oneself well in the local and basic English language.
* Has adequate (professional) knowledge regarding applicable HSE legislation and regulations and BRC management systems.
* Has knowledge of computer programs within the own organization.
* Has a customer-oriented attitude and drive both internally and externally.
* Experience of working in a cold / freezing environment and knowledge of food production (HACCP) is an advantage.
* Knowledge of the applied warehouse management systems and equipment.

Salary - 15.38-19.23per hour dependant on experience
37.5 hours per week
This will be working on a standard day shift, but some flexibility may be required

Candidates will need there own transport due to the sites location.
