We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information and support to ensure effective financial management within the school.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of financial performance against budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders, including forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Liaise with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
- Maintain and develop financial systems and processes.
- Provide financial guidance and support to school leadership and staff.
- Assist with other finance-related projects as needed.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within the education sector.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
