Assured Safety Recruitment is working with a leading manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality products while ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all our employees. With a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, they are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Safety Advisor to assist the Head of H&S at their Bilston site.

Role Overview: As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of safety across the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across the manufacturing site.
  • Develop and implement health and safety training programs for employees.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage with all levels of staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and health and safety management systems.
