You will provide expert advice, conduct audits, and assist in developing and implementing health and safety strategies in line with company policies and legislative requirements.Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the Group Health and Safety Manager in creating and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and inspections across all company sites.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including risk assessments and training logs.
  • Support the implementation of environmental management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate health, safety, and environmental considerations into business operations.

Qualifications and experience:

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
  • Membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., IOSH or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a health and safety management role within a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
