Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Wolverhampton Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annumType: PermanentRussell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client who operates in the nuclear and defence sector. The Role:• To provide manufacturing technical expertise and instruction from design to production• To identify, facilitate and directly improve manufacturing process for nuclear components and assemblies• To be involved during design to review drawings and plans. Ensuring they are produced effectively and contain the correct instructions for manufacture in the most productive way• Input and update manufacturing data in client's production control system • Oversee machining operations, ensuring precision and adherence to stringent quality standards• To be able to reduce manufacturing costs through contributing to design and choose relevant cost effective process • Collaborate with teams to continuously improve production processes • Update and follow through manufacturing drawing, documentation and quality updates The candidate:• Eligible for security clearance.• Minimum of 5 years' experience working within a manufacturing role • In-depth knowledge of Machining, Welding, Mechanical/Electrical Assembly• In depth knowledge on a variety of welding processes • Produce detailed manufacturing instructions for the team • A time and cost focused mentality • Proficient in Microsoft office• Ability to learn in-house systems Benefits: • 5% employer + 5% employee contributions• Annual Leave 25 days plus bank holidays • Buy and sell (up to a maximum of 5 days)• Opportunity to accrue additional 5 days off each year for hours worked over (sanctioned by Line Manager)• Professional Membership fees paid• Employee portal that offers discounts, offers, employee assistance programme (after probationary period)Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
