As the Sales Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing structure and accountability within the Sales & Estimating team, managing the workflow, taking line management responsibility and providing support to the team. Working alongside senior management you will be leading & supporting a small team, including Estimators & Administrators.
Key Responsibilities include -
- Taking initial enquiries and qualify details from customers to present to the estimating team in order for them to understand the brief
- Produce management reports and contribute to senior management meetings
- Work alongside various internal teams to ensure the workflow of projects is planned accordingly
- Oversee workflow from initial enquiry to order stage
- Completing regular follow-up calls with customers, managing expectations & handling any concerns, queries or delays
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in quoting and ordering
- Ensure deadlines and timescales are met
- Prepare and present project handover meetings
- Implement effective structures and provide ad-hoc administrative support
Ideal Skills & Experience -
- Proven leadership in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Expertise in streamlining and implementing processes
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong communicator
- A willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
- Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
