As a Vehicle Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the Council's compliance criteria for private hire vehicles. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of private hire vehicles, ensuring compliance with the Council's criteria.
  • Coordinate and plan your work effectively, collaborating with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records to support the Business Support Unit's tasks.
  • Provide administrative assistance to various services within the organisation, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints, addressing them in line with established procedures.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and functioning equipment when required.
  • Assist in the preparation and provision of information for specific project activities, including data gathering and record keeping.
  • Support the inputting and updating of records in relevant databases.
