Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant

This primary school based in Bilston is looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join them. At this school, their children learn how to put these into practice in the service of themselves, the Church and society. They know the importance of developing a virtuous life, describing a virtue as "an interior disposition, a positive habit, a passion that has been placed at the service of the good." It's those habits of mind and action which genuinely serve the common good schools are the places where such virtue is generated or where it is neglected."

Your new role

We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about supporting children with SEN with complex and physical needs. In this role, you will be supporting children with SEN on a 1:1 basis. You will be following the child's EHCP plans, simplifying the work that the teacher has for them and using different resources to suit the child's needs and learning style and building a strong rapport with the child and creating a supportive and nurturing environment. Strong communication skills and the use of initiative are all essential in this role, to support the child's academic progress.

What you'll need to succeed

• You must have a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Supported children with complex and physical needs
• Worked with a child on a 1:1 basis
• Can build a strong rapport with children
• Is happy to do personal care
• You must have patience, compassion and a positive attitude is essential.
