As a welder you're responsible for the welding of various materials including carbon, stainless and duplex steels using a range of techniques. You will be expected to meet the highest standards of safety and quality, typically working up to 100% volumetric inspection. In a bespoke environment, you will need to demonstrate patience and tenacity and be able to solve problems efficiently through team-work and collaboration. You will ensure that the paperwork is fully concurrent with the build to maintain traceability.
You will be responsible for delivering work efficiently and effectively and communicating progress to your Cell Leader.
Work to a variety of procedures covering TIG, MAG, FCAW etc.
Welding of parts in the following metals: Stainless, Duplex, Carbon, Nickel Chrome, Aluminum & Monel
Wide range of thicknesses of plates and sections
Working with electric or manual hand tools as required to support the job
Interpret and work to MITPs, Route cards, Drawings, Weld Maps and WPS requirements
Follow weld maps and record consumables onto weld history sheets
Maintain working area to a clean and tidy standard during and at the end of shift
Carry out routine checks of welding equipment to ensure that it is in good working order prior to use
Practice and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance during all operations and participate in the development and maintenance of a culture in which health, safety and environmental management is everyones key priority and comply with all relevant Quality Management policies, procedures and processes
Upper hourly rate advertised is the shift rate, Shifts are earlies and lates rotating:
06:00 to 14:30 and 14:00 to 22:00 Monday-Thursday.
06:00 to 11:00 and 10:30 to 18:00 Friday
