Important: Due to the location of the school, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable.

Long Term Futures is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant for an exceptional educational setting in Nottingham (NG13). The school offers bespoke education to children with complex trauma, mental health issues and attachment challenges. The environment integrates therapeutic approaches and operates within a woodland and farm-based setting, making it a unique place to support growth and learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with academic, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Build trusting, positive relationships to develop self-confidence and emotional growth.
  • Work alongside a skilled team of teachers, support staff and therapists.
  • Ensure the development of a trauma-informed and supportive environment.
  • Apply therapeutic techniques to help students manage their individual challenges.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, SEMH or complex needs is required.
  • A kind, patient, and empathetic approach is essential.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
  • Confidence in your ability to support students with complex needs.
