Internal Sales Executive

Exciting opportunity to be an Internal Sales Executive of a successful and growing international Audio Visual Equipment trading business.

About the role:

We are recruiting for an individual to join our sales team to facilitate our business’s growth. We are an international Audia Visual and associated equipment (video, sound, rigging, lighting, stages) trading business operating out of Manston Business Park.

As Internal Sales Executive, you will be reporting to the Sales Manager and working with our close knit team based in our offices in Manston. The sales team deal with sales, from initial enquiry to conversion, and in conjunction with the relevant teams, assisting in sourcing wanted product and supporting with shipping.

Our business has 11 staff, with 4 based internationally or elsewhere in the UK, and a further 7 based in our offices and warehouse in Manston. We are a growing business with big ambitions, so whilst an entry level role, there will be room to grow and develop with the business. Although no formal trading will be provided, there will be plenty of opportunities to grow technical knowledge of the equipment, as well as general sales skills.

Job role:

  • Deal with incoming sales enquiries in a timely and speedy fashion.
  • Communicate with technical team members to answer any technical or specification questions.
  • Negotiate and convert sales orders.
  • Follow up on leads and manage pipeline.
  • With relevant team members, support best shipping process for each order.
  • Follow up on shipping status and communicate to customers.
  • Chase payment of sales invoice.

Experience:

  • Have energy and enthusiasm to deal with sales enquiries and build rapport with customers.
  • Computer and IT literate.
  • High level of energy and drive to succeed.

Person spec:

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and fun environment, both on email and on the phone.
  • An interest in audio visual equipment and the entertainment industry is a plus!

Permanent role; 5 days a week; in office; annual salary of £26,000 -£28,000, negotiable.
