Our precision engineering client is looking for a CNC Miller Setter / Programmer to join their professional team in Birkenhead.

CNC Miller Setter/Programmer (Day Shift)
Birkenhead, Merseyside, CH41

  • Full time (38 hours over 4/5 days)
  • Permanent position
  • £17.28 per hour
  • Overtime available at time and a half

Our client specialises in providing precision engineered components and clean-room assembly to clients throughout the UK and Ireland.

They are fully accredited to ISO 9001:2015, offering a range of precision machining services including ultra-high vacuum welding and leak checking.

The Role

They are looking for a CNC Miller Setter / Programmer with the following skills and experience:

  • Online and Offline Programming Experience
  • Experience with Heidenhain systems would be preferable but not essential.
  • Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and be confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Main Duties of the role:

  • To set, programme and operate machinery to the required standards of company production and safety
  • Make minor repairs to equipment in order to maximise output, reduce down-time and satisfy company demands, quality and safety standards.

The work is interesting and varied and spans across both the Automotive and Scientific sectors.
