Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, One of the UK's leading Shipbuilding and repair companies, in their search for experienced Pipefitter to work in Birkenhead

For the successful Pipefitter our client is offering:

  • Hourly rate of £20.00 per hour (PAYE)
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 (£30.00) & x2 (£40.00)
  • Core Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a 2:30pm finish on Friday
  • Overtime available after core hours & weekends
  • Long-term temporary position
  • Holiday pay
  • Pension - Auto enrolment after 3 months
  • Opportunities for candidates to become permanent depending on performance

The role - Pipefitter:

  • Install, repair and maintain piping systems onboard skips according to engineering specifications
  • Fabrication and assemble pipes using specialised tools and techniques
  • Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and safety of pipework installations and repair
  • Prepare work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Using hand & power tools
  • Ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Following health and safety protocols

What our client is looking for in a Pipefitter:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Pipefitting - BENEFICIAL
  • Proven expertise in industrial pipefitting work ESSENTIAL
  • Proven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL
  • Significant experience in marine/ship repair - BENEFICIAL
  • CCNSG Safety passport or equivalent - BENEFIICAL
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Full BPSS checks or willingness to undergo the clearance process
