For the successful Pipefitter our client is offering:
- Hourly rate of £20.00 per hour (PAYE)
- Overtime paid at x1.5 (£30.00) & x2 (£40.00)
- Core Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a 2:30pm finish on Friday
- Overtime available after core hours & weekends
- Long-term temporary position
- Holiday pay
- Pension - Auto enrolment after 3 months
- Opportunities for candidates to become permanent depending on performance
The role - Pipefitter:
- Install, repair and maintain piping systems onboard skips according to engineering specifications
- Fabrication and assemble pipes using specialised tools and techniques
- Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and safety of pipework installations and repair
- Prepare work areas, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Using hand & power tools
- Ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Following health and safety protocols
What our client is looking for in a Pipefitter:
- City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in Pipefitting - BENEFICIAL
- Proven expertise in industrial pipefitting work ESSENTIAL
- Proven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL
- Significant experience in marine/ship repair - BENEFICIAL
- CCNSG Safety passport or equivalent - BENEFIICAL
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Full BPSS checks or willingness to undergo the clearance process
