Finance Manager - 50,000pa

Birkenhead - Permanent - Hybrid Working

We are supporting a fantastic client based in Birkenhead recruiting for an experienced Management Account and / or Finance Business Partner to transition into a Finance Manager role within their Finance Team. Successful candidates can also be from a Finance Manager background keen to progress themselves and their experience. This role will have responsibility for x2 Finance Officers, so it is essential the successful candidate has good team working experience.

Salary is dependent on experience but ranging up to 50,000pa and the role is offering flexible hybrid working e.g. 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

Responsibilities as a Finance Manager:

  • Work closely with all departments and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the financial systems and processes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal staff, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Oversee the full financial cycle, providing key financial information to assist with tendering, setting up accounts, monitoring PO numbers, invoicing, and payment.
  • Report directly to the Direct of Finance, receiving strategic guidance and support from external accountants.
  • Manage daily finance functions and identify the need for additional resources as the company grows, training and managing a finance team.
  • Ensure all invoices/payments are fully reconciled on Xero daily for real-time reporting to the Director of Finance.
  • Analyse current expenditure and provide key information for budget setting.
  • Monitor client accounts to ensure invoicing is within issued PO numbers.
  • Assist the Director of Finance with financial presentations at monthly board meetings.

Requirements of the role:

  • CIMA / ACCA Qualified.
  • Extensive strong Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner / Finance Manger experience.
  • Previous social housing / not for profit experience.
  • Strong individual looking to progress themselves.
